VAIKUNTA in CHINTAMANI
Vaikunta Ekadasi"Vaikunta Ekadasi" was celebrated in Chintamani with most of the temples attracting hundreds of devotees.People of all ages thronged the temples from the dawn of this auspicious day and lined up to have the Darshan of their Lord with devotion. It is believed that the 'Lord Vishnu" gives the 'darshan' through the door at the north in the 'Vaikunta'on this day every year.Ofcourse, all other doors are open for the rest of the days for his beloved devotees.

Celebrating Chintamani.
Picture Courtesy:Chintamani Rockers. This is how Chintamani looked from the top of Kannampalli Hills at the strike of 00:01 on the 1st Jan 2009.Chintamaniacs celebrated the new year like there was no tomorrow.Hundreds of youth on their bikes wandered all around the town.Although there were enough stars to light up the sky lots of fire crackers illuminated the night sky.More than the celebration of the new year this picture looks like a celebration of Chintamani itself.
